16 weeks! What allergies??

Please don't give away my bassinet!

This is the worst time of the year for allergies in AZ. We're told babies aren't supposed to have allergies until they are 2 years old, but of course, the little one is an exception (so the doc thinks...). Plus, Daddy had bad allergies when he was small so this isn't news to Mama and Daddy.

Its been a bad week for Katalia fighting a stuffy nose. Here is Katalia in her bassinet. Mama was going to give away her bassinet since she never really used it, but it seems that she likes it when she feels "sick". Looks like Mama won't be giving it away anytime soon (well, she's already too big for it, so maybe next month!)

Geese in Arizona?

On the way to the mall, Katalia noticed a man with geese crossing the street!



Mama and Daddy felt like they were back in Minnesota!



Thankfully, traffic stopped and allowed the man and the geese to cross the busy intersection.

Look I turned my papasan into a hammock!

Mama and Daddy are beginning to see that the little one is not just a wiggly worm, but she also refuses to sit in one place.

Daddy likes to call the handles above the passenger seats of a car the "oh ---- (crap) handles". Katalia uses Daddy's shirt or Mama's hair as her "oh ---- handles":

Daddy believes Katalia loves soccer because she will sit and watch with him. Mama thinks Katalia just enjoys following the movement of the soccer ball.

Later that evening, Katalia got her first battle wound (and yes, Mama did cut her nails). Daddy cleaned it with betadine (the yellow stuff):

Later that day, Daddy took Katalia and Mama for some lunch and shopping (Tita, Katalia had an outfit change because it was very windy that day and it isn't very lady like to wear a dress in a baby bjorn.):

I'm a Couch Bumbo Potato

Mama and Daddy are amazed at Katalia's milestones these past weeks. Not only is she holding up her head a lot better, but she follows objects with her eyes. She LOVES Baby Mozart. Sometimes Mama and Daddy think she memorized the DVD because she gives a little giggle right before the funny parts come up.. then they hear a big laughter!
