Happy 7 Months! My Gym!

Katalia celebrated 7 months and attended her 1st class @ My Gym. Mama was very proud that Katalia didn't cry for her during the "separation anxiety" exercise.

30 Weeks! My shine-y white shoes

Katalia spent the weekend (in her shine-y white shoes and oversized jeans) running errands with Mama & Daddy.

"Ooh, what pretty flowers!"



"Hey there Mr. Shoe! Wow, you're so nice and clean!"



"Daddy, wait up!"



Katalia also celebrated 30 weeks:

I love plastic!

Daddy treated Katalia and Mama to shopping and dinner @ Grand Lux. Little girl refused the high chair and opted for Daddy's lap instead. She also opted for the plastic instead of the toy it came in (video):



Later that evening, Katalia tried out her new mat:

She crawls backwards

Little girl has been crawling backwards for about a month now.

Mama happened to turn her back for a "second" and found Katalia underneath her pack n play:

6 month checkup!

Katalia had her 6 month check up. She weighed in at 14.8 lbs (20%) and a height of 26 inches (50%).

"I just love the way it feels and sounds!"



Back at home, little girl shows her badges of courage.

"Daddy, see Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse playing soccer?"



Katalia also celebrated 29 weeks!



"Scooby, scooch!"



"Balance, Balance, Daddy don't let go of me!"



"Mama, I'm already taller than Scooby. Can we buy that big dinosaur Daddy wants in the playskool catalog and use him instead of Scooby?"



"Finally, play time!"

Mama & Daddy were so excited the day finally came when they didn't have to carry little girl in the baby carrier or in the car seat (on top of the shopping cart) while grocery shopping!

Katalia now rides in the shopping cart! :)





"Mama, can we go in the car now? The sun is in my eyeballs!"



"Ahh, that's better!"

The highchair

Mama & Daddy decided to retire the bumbo chair. Unlike some babies who are able to use the bumbo chair past 1, her bum was just not big enough to hold her down. So it was time for a high chair. After all the researching, Mama & Daddy decided on a booster type chair.

Katalia amazes Mama everyday of her new discoveries. Mama found a toy that someone gave to her when she was born and never thought the day would come when little girl would figure out how to play with it!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Katalia celebrated Daddy's birthday with a mint chocolate chip icecream cake from baskin robbins and some yummy sushi!

Later that evening, they dropped off Grandma S. to the airport.

To swing or to sleep

Just because.. here's another sleeper.. hehe :)



Little girl outgrew her swing, bassinet, and "honky-tonky" stroller. Mama & Grandma decided to sew plastic covers to preserve them for the next baby (and no, Mama isn't prego).

"Mama, why won't the swing SWING?"



"Hmm, you say I'm too heavy, but do you mind if I take a little catnap? Its soo comfortable!"



After her nap, Katalia said goodbye to her friends ("honky-tonky" stroller missing):

As soon as Katalia learned to roll onto her belly, Mama & Daddy find her every morning sleeping like this:

27 weeks = 6 MONTHS!!

Baking a cake

Grandma and Katalia baked a yummy pound cake. Mama was just happy to see the mixer was finally being used:

Happy 4th of July!

Katalia & family spent 4th of July eating good italian food (Yum, Carrabbas!) and watching fireworks from home. It was just too hot (102 degrees) to sit outside!

These are not "alexis" sunglasses, but they'll do! ;)

Mama is very happy to see Katalia can play on her own! Every morning Katalia plays while Mama makes her milk & breakfast:

Mama and Daddy were going through some stuff given by Katalia's rock-fester cousins and came upon this:



Katalia LOVED it, but was very camera shy! When the camera was away she would do a little dance! This also brought back memories for Grandma when cousin Natali used it.
